Combat Vehicle Survivability

OptiMetrics has developed a suite of software tools that can assist in the design, optimization and evaluation of survivability systems for combat vehicles. Our experience is mainly in the outer layers of the survivability “onion”:

  • Don’t be seen
  • Don’t be targeted
  • Don’t be hit

Our Camouflage Design Toolkit (Camo-TK) and earlier work on the Multi-Spectral Signature Optimization Toolkit addresses not being seen. Our Smoke Systems Performance Model (SSPM) assists in design of obscurant systems which prevent targeting of a vehicle by threat electro-optical or millimeter wavelength sensor systems. OptiMetrics’ System Performance Model (OSPM) active protection system model capabilities allow the design optimization of active protection countermeasure systems for hit avoidance.
